Designed for the « Copenhagen » gourmet restaurant at the Maison du Danemark in Paris, the Masculo chair, edited by Gubi, combines Danish elegance and simplicity with Italian refinement and playfulness. With a unique appearance, the wood version of the Masculo unifies Danish and Italian design traditions, and is then characterised as a symbol of international design. The aesthetics, design, sturdiness and seating comfort of the Masculo have resulted in a welcoming chair with a contemporary look. Its semi-circular back and armrests are inspired by the authentic shapes of the 1950s dining chair. Possessing a playful balance between formality and whimsy, the Masculo by Gubi is a new interpretation of the modern chair.
