Description
Developed in 1975, the petit fauteuil Daumiller was inspired by the traditional Danish milking stool and Hans J. Wegner’s China chair. Daumiller wanted to create a chair that was both resistant and sculptural, strong and timeless. The materiality and robustness of the Daumiller armchair pay tribute to Rainer Daumiller’s affinity with natural forms and materials. Made from durable solid pine, as were the original pieces produced by the Hirtshals sawmill in 1977, the little armchair Daumiller and its backrest are ergonomically adapted to the contours of the body, which only adds to the bold, retro expression of this Danish design classic, reissued by Gubi.
