In 2015, Verpan rediscovered a forgotten chair in the Panton Archives. First unveiled in 1967, it was produced for a very short time. Based on Verner Panton’s original drawings and notes, Verpan has been able to reimagine this magnificent design by adapting it to modern standards. Verner Panton had designed the Series 430 chair as a study with the aim of providing the same comfort as an armchair. It achieves this by applying a traditional webbing system to the fully upholstered seat, to adapt to the body’s weight. This is complemented by a wide, wraparound backrest and a lightweight, elegant structure mounted on the outside of the seat and backrest. Stackable, refined and comfortable, Series 430 is truly a multifunctional chair that works equally well in the home, restaurant or office.
