Designed in 1931 by Poul Henningsen and published by Louis Poulsen, PH 5-4 ½ is a now iconic suspension lamp made up of four shades. The top trumpet shade illuminates the area above the three shades, which direct most of the light downwards. A reflector at the base and a blue ring eliminate any risk of glare, whatever the angle. The brightest light is directly below the luminaire. The shades of the suspension PH 5-4 ½ have a white paint finish to create the most comfortable light possible.
