Description
Designed by Roberto Sironi for Tacchini, the Colonna Ø 70 cm onyx marble coffee table is a piece that reinterprets the architectural archetype it is named after with an economy of means and sculptural ambition that command respect. Its prismatic structure dressed in shaped mirror glass reflects the environment that surrounds it and fragments the image with fascinating precision, transforming each surface into a changing territory that evolves with light and movement, making the table a living object as much as a functional one. The onyx marble top completes this ensemble with a material depth and a chromatic presence of rare sophistication, introducing that subtle balance between monumentality, lightness and abstraction which is the strongest intellectual signature of the project. Onyx, with its translucent veins and inner shades that seem illuminated from the inside, dialogues with the reflexivity of mirror glass in an agreement of materials as unexpected as immediately right, composing a piece whose richness is gradually revealed as the light changes around it. In its 70 cm diameter format, it naturally stands out at the center of a living room as a centerpiece that structures the space with a quiet authority, offering a generous surface that welcomes with the same elegance a serving tray, a few carefully chosen objects or simply the gaze of those who settle around her for the first time and no longer know where to lay their eyes.
