The Capitol Complex Sofa is a small sofa designed by Pierre Jeanneret. Its iconic design features a wooden frame in the shape of an inverted ‘V’, covered in fabric or leather. The Capitol Complex sofa offers instant comfort thanks to its generous padding enveloping the seat, armrests and backrest. It is part of a collection of furniture linked to the history of Chandigarh, an Indian city designed by Le Corbusier in the 1950s. Pierre Jeanneret, who played a key role in the creation of the city, is considered to be the author of many of the pieces of furniture in this collection. The Capitol Complex Sofa, edited by Cassina, stands out for its combination of solid wood with generous upholstery.
