Vitra has created a collection of miniatures representing the great classics of the history of modern furniture. The structure, materials and colours are a faithful reproduction of the original piece down to the smallest detail, reduced to 1/6th scale. Each piece is hand-made, and the designer has agreed a licencing deal with producer Vitrafor the entire collection. The Miniatures collection is exclusive to the Vitra Design Museum. Charles and Ray Eames created the Lounge Chair and Ottoman in 1956. One of their most famous creations, it has since become a design classic. Whatever models you own, these miniature pieces delivered in a wooden case are perfect for displaying throughout the house like precious collector’s items.
