In 2015, Verpan rediscovered a forgotten chair in the Panton Archives. First unveiled in 1967, it was produced for a very short time. Based on Verner Panton’s original drawings and notes, Verpan has been able to re-create this magnificent design, adapting it to modern standards. Verner Panton designed the Series 430 chair as a study aimed at providing the same comfort as an armchair. It achieves this by applying a traditional webbing system to the fully upholstered seat, to adapt to the body’s weight. This is complemented by a wide, wraparound backrest and a lightweight, elegant structure mounted on the outside of the seat and backrest. Stackable, refined and comfortable, Series 430 is a truly multi-purpose chair that will look equally at home in a restaurant or office.
