Description
Designed for Zanotta, the Alfare coffee table in seaweed is a piece that reconciles the noble roughness of cement with the precision of a carefully crafted design object. Its varnished cement top, whose textured relief pattern is the most immediately striking formal gesture, transforms a functional surface into a tactile territory, inviting the eye as much as the hand to linger on it. In its seaweed shade, it evokes a natural and deep palette, that dark and muted green that evokes the seabed and damp mosses, bringing to any living space an anchored and soothing chromatic presence at once, in instinctive dialogue with plant materials, the raw wood or natural flax that surround it. The base in varnished cement of the same shade unifies the silhouette into a coherent and assumed monolith, where the material expresses itself without detour or concession. In its diameter of 110 cm, it imposes itself with an additional generosity that makes it a true centerpiece of the living room, able to structure a larger living space and to accommodate with the same ease a service tray, a composition of carefully chosen objects or simply to exist as a living surface in its own right. As right in a residential interior with raw and contemporary materials as in a reception area that cultivates the authenticity of its choices, the Alfare Coffee Table 110 cm is a piece that fully assumes what it is, without seeking to appear something else.
