When creating their chairs, designer duo Charles and Ray Eames often designed several versions by combining a seat shell with various legs. As soon as it was launched, the Plywood Group also became available complete with a chrome-plated tubular steel base, making it more lightweight and creating a unique aesthetic due to the use of two different materials. Produced by Vitra, the seat and backrest on the DCM (Dining Chair Metal) is made of black or natural ash moulded and glued laminated wood, sat on a chrome-plated base. The DCM chair adapts to all environments, both residential and public, thanks to its sleek and timeless lines.
