Designed by EOOS for Carl Hansen & Søn, Embrace is a functional table that combines wood and steel to create an airy and distinctive piece. Made from three components, the table has a wooden base, a steel rod frame and a round top. The result is a table with a sculptural expression, inspired by the image of a kite in the air. The Embrace table is a particularly functional piece, with its central leg maximising legroom and its round tabletop facilitating interaction around the table. Contrasting with the structure, the wooden top of the Embrace table appears to float.
