Designed in 1978, this polyethylene armchair is a real technical feat considering its size and the complexity of its decorative embellishments. The designer had already been recognised for his fantastical universe world and his whimsical approach to design. The Regency-inspired Proust armchair has a strong and charismatic personality, reinterpreted here in a very modern material to accentuate the extravagant universe of its designer.
