For the “Organic Design in Home Furnishings” competition organized by the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1941, Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen created the Organic Chair collection. This armchair was ahead of its time in 1940 and could not be mass-produced by Vitra until 1950. This pre-owned Organic Chair is particularly comfortable thanks to its organically shaped shell, which conforms to the body’s contours and thus provides the ideal seat for winter days spent reading by the fireplace… the Organic Chair reading chair allows you to sit in a low, reclined position.
