Description
Cadmo is an organically-shaped floor lamp made of a folded steel sheet, which acts both as the structure and the diffuser. Produced by Artemide, the Cadmo lamp was designed by Karim Rashid. It features two light sources that can be adjusted separately. A 300w halogen lamp is directed upwards to create soft, indirect light that can be adjusted using a dimmer. A second, separate light source illuminates the vertical opening, creating ambient light. The black lacquer on the exterior contrasts with the light and accentuates the lamp’s curved casing. This floor lamp is very graphic and its design exudes an incredible strength, adding a unique touch to living rooms and bedrooms.
