Description
Between ancient references and contemporary composition, the 123 carpet imagined by Fornasetti comes to life thanks to the craftsmanship of CC-Tapis. Two faces with sculptural lines respond to each other in a silent and timeless dialogue, evoking the aesthetics of Greek sculpture while adopting a resolutely modern graphic approach. The contrast of black and white accentuates the precision of the lines and gives the pattern an almost architectural depth. Through this refined composition, the carpet explores the harmony between male and female figures in a sober, elegant and expressive setting. Entirely handcrafted in India, the 123 rug is made of wool using the jacquard technique. This know-how allows to weave directly the patterns in the material in order to create subtle reliefs, reinforcing the texture and the sculptural dimension of the drawing. By combining textile craftsmanship and classic inspiration, CC-Tapis and Fornasetti give rise to a refined decorative piece, where visual balance and graphic depth meet with elegance.
