Designed in the 1950s, the tabouret Méribel takes its name from the chalet where designer Charlotte Perriand stayed. It is part of a series based on the reinterpretation of the local architecture of the Alps. It’s a simple, sturdy tabouret in solid wood, featuring three sliced legs. This stylish version of the classic milking stool is available in natural oak, black-stained oak or natural American walnut. Inspired by simple materials and elemental shapes, Charlotte Perriand designed a timeless, warm piece. Reissued by Cassina, 523 Meribel can be paired with the low version of the tabouret, Berger, and used as a side table, at the end of a sofa for example.
