Eileen Gray created the Jean table in 1929 for Villa E1027, located on the French Riviera. Named after Gray’s friend, the architect Jean Badovici, this folding table is made of a chrome-plated steel frame and a white laminated top with beech edges. Gray had several of these tables, produced by Classicon, installed in the villa, where they served as both small home office and dining table. Lightweight and stable even when unfolded, this design classic fits into any style of interior.
